"Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love
unless he's owned a dog. He can show you more honest
affection with the flick of his tail than a man can
gather through a lifetime of handshakes."

[Alumni][DOG APPLICATION (new)][Dog Pointers]

Vivienne
Viv is a 1-2 year old Brussels Griffon mix that weighs approximately 14lbs. She is a very friendly and energetic dog. She's doing well learning basic commands and also with her house training. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with her small foster brother, a yorkie-poo.

Viv has extremely heightened prey drive. She is not good around cats or other small animals. She is best crated when left alone. A home with older children or an active family would be the best home for Viv.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Please complete our on-line application and include any additional information that will help us determine the right match for you and our dogs. Thank you for your interest.

Tango
Tango is a calm, sweet, and loving hound that is approximately 6 yrs old and 45lbs. He was found several years ago as a stray, starved with numbers bleached into his fur. He was adopted by a wonderful family who trained him well. He is housebroken, very quiet, obeys basic commands, and was taught not to get onto furniture.

Unfortunately, due to changes in their family situation, his wonderful family had to give him up. He is an extremely great dog, but as a hound he would benefit from a fenced-in yard so his nose does not get him in trouble. If you are looking for a gentle, easy-going dog, Tango might be your perfect match.

For an application, please send us an e-mail. Please include any additional information that will help us determine the right match for you and our dogs. Thank you for your interest.

Manley
Manly is a very sweet 2 yr. old male Chihuahua who weighs about 11 pounds. He is friendly and outgoing, and gets along with everyone. Manley is well behaved, not a barker, loves to ride in the car, walks well on a leash and enjoys snuggling with you. He would prefer to have a friend to play with. He is making progress with his house training.

Manly came from Southwest Virginia with JayLo, a black and white female chihuahua. Their owner lost his home and dogs aren't allowed in his new apartment.

Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Please include your name, phone number, city of residence, and why you are interested in this particular dog.   Thank you for your interest and your patience.

Georgia Pugabelle
Georgia Pugabelle is a young female Puggle who is friendly and playful. She has good energy but loves to be snuggled too. She gets along great with the other dogs. She does not seem to have much experience with cats, though she is learning. She is quick to back off when the cats say so. She LOVES to run and play with toys.

Georgia gets along fine with the younger boys in the family. However she seems to have a bit of an initial fear of men. Her foster mom reports that her 17-year-old son has made friends with her (treats are a great motivator) but when she heard his deep voice later she barked (she could not see him.) There is no aggression whatsoever. She is clearly crate trained and is quiet in the crate. She even took a toy in the crate last night at one point. Georgia would make a great addition to any active family.

Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

For an application, send us an e-mail. Please include any additional information that will help us determine the right match for you and our dogs. Thank you for your interest.

Milo

Milo is a sweet 1 year old Yorkie-Chihuahua mix who weighs about 8-10 lbs. He gets along with everyone, including kids and the foster mom's five dogs. He even let us dress him up for a recent Howl-o-ween event! Milo is a snuggle bug who loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom. He is crated during the day while his foster mom is at work and likes to play when she gets home at night. Milo would love to be in a home with a playmate and preferably a fenced yard. He would make a fun family dog.

Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Please complete our on-line appliation, and why you are interested in this particular dog. Thank you for your interest and your patience.

Beanie Baby
Beanie Baby is an adorable puggle mix(pug-beagle mix) who weighs about 20 pounds and is about 9 months old. She is friendly with adults, children and other dogs. We haven't had the opportunity to test her with cats. She is fully vetted, lively and affectionate and would make a great family pet. Beanie Baby has been suffering from a case of mange and lost all of her hair. After treatment, her hair is starting to grow back and Beanie will soon be back to her beautiful self.

Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Banjo-Adopted
Banjo is a Chinese Crested mix who is about 1 year old and weighs 8 pounds. He has the long soft coat of the powderpuff variety with the traditional freckled skin of a Chinese Crested on his belly. His petite frame and adorable ears make us think he has some Papillon in him also, although the second picture makes him look larger than he really is.

Banjo is a friendly guy who gets along with cats and other dogs. He also gets along with kids and his foster mom says he is an easy dog to take care of. Before he was rescued, he ran around a neighborhood for about a month while being fed by many neighbors, who all thought he was great. He is housebroken and would make a wonderful pet for anyone. If you think your family might be right for this special dog please complete an application and a few lines about why you are interested in him. EMAIL: kstraley.ac@gmail.com Thank you for your interest. Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Fritz-Adopted
I should not talk about myself like this, but I am a handsome, unique love bug! I'm a Terrier/Shih Tzu mix and weigh approx. 10-12 lbs. I love to be on my humans lap, and follow my foster mom everywhere! While quite handsome, with my brown nose and soft coat, I have one cloudy eye. (The vet says it because of a healed injury, but I can see out of it and it causes me no pain.) I find it another reason to consider me unique! I have lots of energy. Within one hour at my foster moms house, I taught myself how to go in and out the doggie door, another example of my unique talent! I am learning to be housebroken, and some basic commands. Some things I did not need to learn: how to get along with my foster dogs, how to find a soft spot to sleep, and how to snuggle on the lap of my foster mom! I love to play with my foster friends, but I would rather be snuggled on my foster moms lap. I am eager to learn: are you willing to teach the unique young man that I am?

Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.
